I have a publishing site in SharePoint 2010. the requirement is need to create a site template from this publishing site.As per Microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2492356),
we cannot create a site template from publishing site. The workaround is to append _layouts/savetmpl.aspx to your site link and you will get that normal window of "Save the site template".This solves the problem.But there is a webpart page consisting
of List view webpart and document library webparts. These webparts are missing after creating a new site from this publshing site template.
