I have created a SharePoint 2010 Publishing site so the publishing feature has been activated. I have created a custom master page and page layout and deployed this solution within Visual Studio. I have used the EditModePanel in my custom page layout as I wanted to style my page differently in edit mode. Am I right in saying that the editmodepanel is only activated via Site Actions/Edit Page and not through clicking "Edit Web Part" directly from the web part itself? For one reason or another my edit style sheet isn't being used when clicking "Edit Web Part"? How can I set this template as it has become unreadable due to the amount of customisations I have made.
