There is a ton of chatter online that says that it's not possible to embed video content directly in a blog post (list entry) on SharePoint 2010 - due to the security concerns, it makes sense that even if you embed HTML directly into the blog entry, the Rich Text editor will strip out the "src" attribute of the iframe or embed element. Frustrating, but well understood...
For some reason, though, our SharePoint 2010 Online instance allows YouTube videos, but not Bing videos, Brightcove videos etc. I truly can't even begin to understand why the first would work (i.e. is left undisturbed once the blog entry is published), but the second does not (i.e. has the src attribute stripped).

Happens consistently, irrespective of the video chosen or the provider (Bing, Brighcove, Vimeo...)
Am I missing something? Does YouTube get some dispensation? I've never come across anybody else talking about this.
