I have configured SSL on my SharePoint 2010 farm and it is working fine as well.
I just have a doubt.
When we install a certificate on our web server for SSL. How/Why will a browser trust it?
My knowledge tells me that the client trusts it because of signing authority. But the question is where is the certificate of the signing authority? Should I install those on my IIS box as well?
So that if a client asks who signed this certificate ... then my IIS can provide the whole chain of certificate signer?
Otherwise how/why will the client trust the certificate which I have installed on my IIS Web Server?
