Unable to export to excel

I am quite familiar with the throttling limitations placed on SharePoint.

but, I created a view, Export Test, which has only 3 columns and 30 documents.

This view is also generating the same aforementioned error message.

If the “Created By” column is removed, the export to Excel is successful.  It appears that the issue lies with the “Created by” column. Is there a limitation around being able to export the “Created by” column now?
