I'm building a development Web Server VM with SharePiont 2010 Standalone.
The VM will have SQL 2012, Visual Studio 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010 and SharePonit 2010 Standalone.
Deployment will be to a complex SP 2010 Server install with 3 WFE and 3 App Server and 2 SQL 2012 servers with allways on.
A few questions.
- First can I use SP 2010 standalone to develop for my eventual deployment to SP Server Enterprise? I would think so.
- The build I used to install SP 2010 is very old. 14.0.4762.1000. What is the recommended steps to get current to December 2012? I'm on the site and confused about hotfixes and CUs? Also if the server guys have a slipstream, can I use that?
- Will I be able to install and host SSRS 2012 for SP on my VM?
- Any limitations - Development and Deployment to this setup?
