What are your average TCP connection latency values between your SharePoint 2010 SQL Server and your SharePoint 2010 Server(s)?

We are observing several network TCP connections on our internal SQL server to our internal SharePoint application and web servers that consistently show TCP latency times of 200ms+.  We are using the TCP connection section on the Network tab in the Windows Task Resource Monitor to see these values. (There is one live SharePoint site on the system, but it doesn't have a high traffic volume.)

Has anyone else observed similar response times? Do these appear to be low, average, or high in comparison to your environment?

From looking at the SQL wait stats, it appears that we have fairly high ASYNC_NETWORK_IO wait time accumulation. This statistic indicates that it may be a network latency issue, or the client application (SharePoint) may not be able to handle the amount of data being sent from the SQL Server to the client in a timely fashion.

I've included some additional information about our SQL server for reference:  The SQL Server 2008 R2 server has a 64 bit OS, SATA disk, RAID 5 on data/log, RAID 0 on system partitions, 24 Xeon X5660 (2.80 GHz) processors and 96 GB RAM.  The NIC card is a Broadcom BCM57096 NetXtreme II GigE, driver version 7.0.11.0.
