So I have a site collection with various Departmental sub sites that have libraries for our departmental users keep their documents. I also have another site collection that contains many sub sites that are all lets say vendor specific sites. So our end users work on these vendor specific sites. Within these vendor specific sites whenever a document is uploaded to the library, a number is generated using a Event Receiver and all works well, until someone wants to copy or move a document from the Departmental site to the vendor specific site, here we see no number created due to the properties of the document not showing all the properties of the library that the document has been moved to. I have noticed that it is only one column that does not show that we need in order for the number to be created.
Is there a workaround for this?
