Approval workflow "consolidate comments" not being gathered. How can I capture each comment?

Hello,

I am using Sharepoint 2010 and have run into two issues.  I had a previous post (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointgeneralprevious/thread/125498c6-42a0-4fa7-bed2-39f0bf555187) where I was asking about how to add new approver names on the fly during an Approver workflow.  The reply was spot on and I was able to it, which essentially added a new "person" field to the approval task form and then when the form was approved, if there was another approver listed in the new field, a new approval task was started with that user.  All is working fine on that front.  My problems, however come in two areas.

1) I noticed that each new approval task was unrelated to the approval task that essentially launched it.  For eaxmple, after checking if the "judge next" was not empty, I started a new approval process.  In the end there may be 4 or 5 nested approval processes.  Each of the approval processes, however, knows nothing about the comments from the previous approval task so none have the consolidated comments as a rollup.  Is there a way in the "behavior of a single task" to grab the comments (say, after it has been approved), put them in a variable (I THINK I have this part), and then add those comments to the consolidated comments of the next approval task form?  The goal is to have all of the approval comments listed in the last approval task's consolidated comments just like it would be if I created a single approval process with these 4 or 5 people listed as approvers.  (NOTE: This issues was listed in my reply to the above posting but have not heard back on it).

2) The new field that is added to the approval task form to choose the next approver(s) is set up to take multiple values and it is set to be parallel so that all of the selected approvers get the notification.  I can in fact choose more than one person, but only the first one is ever noticed, meaning that the first person listed is the only one that gets an approval task. I know it isn't happening serially because when the first person does approve it, there is no other task created.  The approval process is just done at that point.

Does nayone have any clues to either of these issues?

Thanks - Peter
