I have a few questions, as I am trying to understand how to best fix my issue:
1. Is it possible to modify the out of the box Team Site
templatein SharePoint Designer? Meaning I would modify it there, then all future OOB Team Sites created would keep these changes? (not just one site)
2. If you have the publishing and publishing infrastructure feature activated and defined the site and system master page as one you created, should the team site template inherit that master page?
So we have the publishing and publishing infrastructure feature activated, and have set our custom master page to be both the system and site master page, however the OOB Team Site template does not inherit from it. It uses default.master, which is also out of the box. Thus, it also does not call our css, it calls the corev4.css.
3. Is there a way, without coding OR saving a NEW team site template and hiding the OOB template, to make the OOB team site template (and all the others) useour master page?
