View a filtered list of a sub site's Shared Documents in site collection page

Hi, 

I have a SiteCollection which has a custom home page and then various child sites which represent different areas of the company (such as HR).

I would like the shared documents of the HR sub site to be visible on the SiteCollection Homepage filtered by a column value.

Any ideas?
