Content type columns not being updated

Hi,

I have a document library (that was migrated from WSS3 to SP2010) with 5 different content types associated (word and Excel templates) with a few site columns.

When I try to edit the properties (item menu > Edit Properties), add some values to the site columns  and press OK, the columns are still empty.

When I open the same file, I see that the columns are filled with the values I picked before. Still, in the item menu, I see it blank.

When I open a new content type and edit it's properties, everything is working properly and I can see the values of the new item I've created.

Any thoughts?
