Site Content Hub and content type locations

Hi

I've created a Site Collection Hub in Site Collection 1 (SC1) which is the intranet. I have the main content type in here which I require in other SC's. After publishing its available to all site collections.

In my sc2 I also require derivatives of main content type. Should this be created in SC2 or SC1(hub) ? This particular derivative is only needed in SC2 so is there any advantage adding this in SC1 and then publishing?
