How to sync a group with another group?

I had to create a new group to grant Contributing permission specifically to a list.

I populated the new group after another group using export and import scripts since it has more than one thousand users.

Now the users are complaining they have to keep track of two groups.

Is it posible to add or remove users in groups automatically when they are added or removed in another group?
