First off, I just wanted to say I realize there are other forums out there similar to this issue but none of them are helpful or have the correct solution to my problem.
There is an OOTB approval workflow (meaning a workflow NOT built with SP designer) where a user is unable to approve the task that is assigned to him. Every time the user tries to approve the workflow task in the list, he gets an error message saying - "Task update was not accepted. To edit a task associated with a workflow task process, you must be the person to whom the task is currently assigned."
Not only can the user not approve it (which by the way - the workflow is on his site which he has FULL CONTROL access to), I cannot approve it as well and I am a Site Collection Administrator. Whenever I try to approve and/or redirect the workflow task, I get the same error message as the user.
Any advice on how to fix this would appreciated.
