i changed a User Property to export to AD instead of import from AD and it works fine, but now i have a yellow warning icon. how can i get rid of it??

I recently made a change to the User Property for "telephone number" so that it exports to AD instead of importing from AD so i can allow my users to update their phone numbers (this is a field that does not get filled in when a user is created). i have tested it and it works as i want it to (the user adds their phone number and on the next profile sync it updated AD). the issue i have now is that on the users "Edit Profile" page there is a yellow warning triangle that says "Indicates a field that is updated automatically from the corporate directory. Changes to these properties may be lost". now that i made the change that i did this warning is wrong and will confuse the user. is there any way to make this warning now show??
