I have created a scope with isDocument=1 required and http://sp/sc folder include. This returns about 4000 documents (office, image, pdf, etc.). All file types are registered. When I open a document library and click on a pdf it opens right up in the browser.
Now I create a brand new ent search center. drop a search box and search result part. I perform a search and guess what the title is linked to the dispform.aspx?id=xx all file type.
I want to change this behavior for 70 site collection that we have and they will all have their own search center. What is causing this? (I know one reason when a file type is not registered). Any other reasons? and How can I fix this without messing with xslt of the result web part.
Reset & Re-Index is another option but we have gone through index (just few weeks ago). Just FYI: some of the site's search does work and title is link to file not dispform.aspx.
