We are implementing a SharePoint Solution for a reputed B-School which has a complicated and highly dynamic program in place. We are doing fine with most of the features but are struck with time table generation. Because of its higly dynamic nature where in most of its parameters like (Students, Class Timings,Lecturers, Subject-Electives as well, Classrooms) keep changing and we are not able to find a concrete solution for this particular requirement.
Is there anything available OOB or are there any 3rd party webparts which i can configure for time table generation? Any pointers would be much appreciated.
One solution that i am exploring currently is to implement a custom webpart to generate the timetable based on genetic algorithm. We are in the POC stage and any pointers on this as well would be useful.
