In my Sharepoint server 2010, I have a .wsp file which holds one timer job. I use the Management shell to add and deploy the solution and then to enable to feature. When I do this in my dev Sharepoint Foundation 2010 environment, my feature is displayed in the Site's Site Actions --> Site Settings --> Manage site features page. It typically is first displayed there after the solution is deployed. When I do the exact same process on the Sharepoint Server 2010 environment, the feature is not displayed in the "Manage site features" page. The feature, however, is alive and well and runs my timer job as scheduled. I found some old post that pointed to a "Hidden" property in the Feature.xml file. I added a "Hidden='FALSE'" to the XML file but that didn't seem to do anything. Does anyone know why the feature is displayed as a Site Feature in my Sharepoint Foundation but not in our Sharepoint Server??
