We are working on implementing IRM. The WRM server is setup, SharePoint 2010 is linked to the server. IRM can be setup in the SharePoint Libraries now. I believe the last step we need is to start the User Profile Synch job. We have not started that service because of all of the issues that people have reported and we simply did not need it up until now. The question is:
Exactly what does the User Profile Synch service do in regards to IRM. Put the user profiles on the WRM server?
Second question: What type of data from the documents (if any) gets stored on the WRM server?
