Scenario:
A doc lib has many columns; one is a lookup column with mandatory entry.
When I switch to DataSheet View, I see the lookup column, and can select an entry from its dropdown, but then I get an error:
"Columns that require data are not included in this view. If you want to edit rows that are missing data in these columns, or add new rows, you must first add the required columns to the view."
I can SEE the lookup column - it IS added to the view (if I can see it, it must be added to the view, right????
I am absolutely baffled by this error message.
Then, all attempts to navigate away, either trigger the same error, or another one:
"Changes to the current row cannot be saved due to invalid data or missing data in the required fields."
But I WAS able to enter valid data in the required field.
I usually end up quitting Internet Explorer, as the only way to get out of these error messages from hell.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
