Sharepoint 2010 library - cannot open a tamplate

Hi,

I have created a content type and associated it to a library.

When I'm trying to create new document and selecting the relevant content type- MS Word opens as expected,  but I get an error that the file "<path>\my content type\tamplate.dotx" cannot be found. 

Need your help..
