Hello
For a while now I've been trying to find a non-programy way to display a team's user profiles on team sites. I was quite shocked to find there's no OOTB way, as this is surely what everyone would expect to see... Anyway, the closest I've come is by using the People Core Results Search web part, or a CQWP from a list on each site, but neither are great so far.
People Core Results Search
I've got this to display the team the user enters into the web part, but I can only order the profiles by alphabetical or social distance. My business wants managers at the top, so my first question is:
- Can I edit the XSL so the web part displays the selected team's manager first?
Content Query Web Part
I have a custom XSLT template which displays user profiles when users are added to a list on the site. I haven't found a way to display the user's profile photo, job title and about me columns off of the people picker column on the
list, so currently they have to add all these to the list, and to their My Sites, so that's a bit rubbish. My second question is:
- Can I display photo, job title and about me columns in a CQWP, off one people column in a list?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Sophie
*EDIT*
Just to add on from there, using search I would like the users after the manager to be displayed alphabetically
