Hi all,
I'm experiencing some odd behavior when opening Excel files from a SharePoint library. When Microsoft Excel is trying to open the file from a library (using the option "Edit in Excel") it prompts for user authentication. This doesn't happen for all users but so far I was unable to detect the problem for the users affected.
1 - All the users are from the same domain where SharePoint is installed
2 - The site is on "local intranet" zone of IE
3 - This only happens with excel files (word files open without prompting authentication)
4 - This is happening in a staging environment, in production everything is fine, exact same library and exact same file...
5 - Clients are running Windows XP with Office 2010
Any ideas?
