In preparation to upgrade from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint 2013, I converted from Windows based Authentication to Claims based authentication. Ever since doing this, I have users that are getting 401 Access Denied.
The real issue comes from that fact that it does not impact all users and only some. I have verified that the users have indeed been converted to claims (users havei:0#.w| in front of there user names in sharepoint). I have verified and configured the superuser and superreader accounts. I have followed a few other suggestions, which seem to fix the issues but then the 401s seems to come back after an hour or so.
Has anyone else seen this? Another interesting fact is that the site is accessible via HTTP and HTTPS. The users that can access via HTTP cannot access via HTTPS (401) and users that can access HTTPS cannot access HTTP.
Ideas?
