Why cant I set up a SPD workflow to run when a major version is being published?

Hi,

I have created a rather complicated sharepoint designer workflow and would like to set it up to run when a major version is published.

This workflow was created as a list workflow directly from SPD.

It seems that there is no way to do it, why is that?

I am looking for a way to do it, maybe to edit the WF XML files like the way "Entan Ming" has suggested here:

This way didn't work for me.

Any good advice?
