I hope someone can shed some light on this. I have an Infopath form published to a form library on SharePoint. Basically, the first person submits it, and fills in some people at the end that need to approve the form. This initial submittal works fine. Then when one of the people opens the form to approve it, and presses approve, the form gets checked out and I am not sure why. I have many forms published and have not came across this behaviour before.
When the Approve button is pressed, 2 fields are updated in a couple of rules. These do get updated fine, but the form remains checked out. Any ideas why? The setting to "Allow Overwrite if file exists" is checked. Files don't have to be checked out to be edited.
Any ideas?
