I've got a fairly simple InfoPath form that is promoting some fields so they show up as columns in my form library. One of the fields is a text box in the form that supports multiple lines. When promoted, it feeds into a single line text box by default. The text displays fine in various list views, but when I use this column as a Group By column in a view and set the view to default to a "Collapsed" state, users cannot expand any grouping where the group by value includes a newline character.
My workaround is I can switch to a default of "Expanded" state and the data is there because it is rendered server side. Unfortunately, though, this was not an issue in 2007 and so I've got customers feeling like they have lost capability by moving to 2010. If I could point to somewhere stating this is a known bug, that would work. Right now, I have no errors I can point to or anything. It just doesn't work. You click on the (+) plus sign and it switches to a (-) minus sign with nothing underneath.
