We're running SP2010 farm with 2 web front ends, 2 app servers and an index server on Server 2008 R2. We finally got around to doing the SP1 upgrade, then the June CU update right after and followed by the Feb 2013 CU, so we're patched up to current. There were issues, but we're all clean now.
We thought everything was fine but the dropdown menus on our main page no longer work with our users who still use IE7. Yes, they should upgrade, but for whatever reason with legacy systems or something they can't.
We found a lot of threads on losing drop down menus going from ie7 to ie8, compatibility mode and all, but nothing applies to what we see. Drop down menus work in IE 8,9 and 10, Chrome and firefox, but not in IE7.
I tried to create a test top level site with a sub site and a sub page, but when I try to to click "Display the same navigation as parent Site" it is greyed out. I have activiated Office sharepoint Publishing server infrastructure in the Site collection and in the site, what am I missing?
I know the pic shows to install silverlight - did that on another box, no avail. This pic shows the blank drop down menu under our Human Resources tab:
Any help would be appreciated.</v:imagedata></v:shape>
Thanks.
