Sharepoint 2010: Survey branching logic not working

I know this question has been asked time and again...but it surprises me as to how the branching logic works in SharePoint 2010....

Q1

Choices: (drop-down choice)

A

B

If answered A--> jump to Q2

If answered B--> Jump to Q3

--------------------------------

Now if i choose A and click on "Next" it shows me both  Q2 and Q3!

I tried a trick mentioned here. But I want to know if this is the only option? Is this a known bug?
