I have reviewed what I thought were similar issues for others in the forums, but they do not address this one. This is for SharePoint Server 2010. It is only happening to one user. They have Contribute rights on the site collection as well as the list. They are using MS Office Excel 2010. This problem does NOT happen to other users. The file is not checked out by others. The file name is not the same as another file. Any new ideas welcome.
(1) User checks out the document
(2) User then goes to edit the document in Excel 2010.
(3) User is prompted to enter in their username/pwd
(4) They then receive the following error message:
"Microsoft Excel cannot open the file 'http://...' There are several possible reasons:
- The file name or path does not exist
- The file is being used by another program
- The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
