Creating a connection between files on SharePoint and a slide library.

I am using SharePoint 2010 and PowerPoint 2010. When the PMs update their status reports, I have created a slide library that will automatically update the master deck. The dilemna I am running into is the status reports are housed in individual locations from the slide library. I need the status reports to talk to the slide library. Is there a way to do this?
