I have a list that is dependant to another list. Service Requests list being the parent.Employee Moves list being the child. In the Service Request, there is a column that stores a dynamic hyperlink url string. This url points to the Employee Moves list and is concatenated with the following:"?FilterField1=ServiceRequestIDLookup&FilterValue1=34"
Having done that I was expecting to have whatever is shown in this hyperlink to be identical to what would be shown when the user clicksexport to excel in the ribbon.
Since this was not the case I resorted to another option/theory.. which is to use the owssvr.dll to show the xml results on the browser then have the xml be shown in a excel format. The question that I have is:
1) Is this a practical solution since option 1 didn't pan out? If not could you provide other suggestions/options?
2) Is there a OOTB way where a workflow can generate that ovssvr.dll xml then save it in a library? Could you describe how to do this?
