I know there are lots of posts out with this same issue but I think mine is unique and want to see if you ahve any sugestions.
SharePoint Server 2010 Standard - with Service Pack 1 and Aug 2012 update
I know how the images are imported in this version of SharePoint. Images are uploaded to AD and you map the properties in the UPS to photothumbnail after a sync you run the powershell script Update-SPProfilePhotoStore to get the pictures in to the MySites directory. The Update-SPProfilePhotoStore should add the url to the profile database and create three versions of each users image in a picture library in MySites.
Here are the steps that are and are not working for me. (image below for reference) I am not changing anything in the database or in MIIS as I know that is unsuported but I did look at these location to see what is happening. I can see in MIIS and in the Sync database that the GUID for the image is displayed and when I run the PowerShell script it runs without errors but in my profile database the PictureURL is blank and no images are created in the MySite directory. Is there a way to get a log of the Update-SPProfilePhotoStore to see what it is doing or what it finds? Do you have anyother sugestions for me to troubleshoot this?
