My organization conducted a SharePoint migration from 2007 to 2010 and several of our document libraries contained TIFF files that were captured images from scanning operations. Our upgrade method was database attach. By all indications, it appears as though iFilter for TIFF OCR was enabled on the SharePoint 2010 server. This has resulted in all of our TIFF files (60K) growing significantly in size.
My question is seeking a way for us to "remove" the OCR from these TIFF files as they sit in the document library. Perhaps some batch program that will reapply CCITT Group 4 compression, reducing the file size and allow us to retain all SP metadata.
